Customized training programs to fit your goals and your pet’s needs.
Want a well-behaved canine companion, but unsure how to best reach that goal? Let us jumpstart your dog’s training with our Board & Train program. We’ll work with you to create a customized program that addresses your needs and wants. During training, we’ll maintain open and transparent communication with you on your dog’s progress and to start preparing for the transition home. Upon returning home, we’ll continue to work with your family to transfer all of your dog’s new skills and promote an ideal household dynamic.
Board & Train Details
Our Board & Train packages range from 2-8 weeks in duration where you pet comes and stays with us at our facility. Our goal is to provide you and your dog with the best training outcomes possible and we keep you updated every step of the way.
Step 1. Initial Consultation
All Board & Train clients are required to have an initial consultation before your dog can begin a program. At the consultation, we’ll discuss the challenges that you’re facing, the impact of these on the household, and create measurable goals and solutions to enhance your life with your dog.
Step 2. Package Development
Your dog’s Board & Train package is built around your specific needs and will include training sessions, enrichment activities, structured exercise, and lifestyle integration.

Step 3. Your Pet's Stay
During your pet's time with us, they'll work on skill development through daily training and enrichment exercises. While your dog is learning with us, we’ll schedule in-person or remote sessions with you to prepare for a cohesive learning environment when your pet returns home.
Step 4. Homecoming Time
Before returning home, we’ll make sure all members of the family understand how to maintain your dog’s new skills. On pickup day, we dedicate time to teach you about how to help your dog be the best family member possible and teach you everything they’ve learned. We’ll keep in close contact with you over the following weeks and months to ensure a smooth transition and long-term success.

We offer a limited amount of Board & Train clients at a given time. It's best to plan ahead, as we often book out several weeks for requests.

Starting at $1,000/week

Length of program will be determined by desired training goals.

50% payment is due at the time of booking and the balance will be charged during your dogs last week of stay with us. Payment plans are available upon request and agreeance of Katalyst Kennels and the client.
Our Training Approach
Our training methods are based on building a strong foundation in core skills that are transferable to a wide range of situations. We embrace a LIMA based approach — “Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive.” This approach creates effective behavior change by teaching the dog appropriate skills and behaviors through positive reinforcement. Problem behaviors and the driving forces behind them are isolated and mitigated, and the dog is taught the new, desired response. We do not simply punish the dog for doing the “wrong” thing- we teach them how to be right.
